Is it possible for someone to have a lump under the nipple and not have gyne? If no, then why do some doctors not remove ALL of the gland? Also, does Dr. Bermant remove ALL the gland usually or does he leave some in?

From what I understand, if all of the gland is removed, your chest will take on that concave effect that everyone dreads.  It's important that some of the gland remain.

I believe some gland must be left underneath the nipple to maintain a correct aesthetic look, and to ensure  uninterrupted blood flow to the areola.
