Dr. Jacobs Prep

This is a somewhat duplicate post, but my original post was moved to one of the less active subboards.


I plan to book my surgery with Dr. Jacobs next week for February 2009. 

I am from a Southern state so I will be traveling to NYC.  I would like to hear some input on the ins and outs of traveling for surgery in NYC.  Where did you stay?  How long did you stay?  Who did you use for a medical escort (I may be traveling alone)?

Any other pre-surgery tips?
