@Vizia

how does it look right now? are there still some swelling? do you wear some kind of compression?

It looks as if I almost never had a surgery performed (at least on one side) because of swelling. The difference is that now my chest is hard rather than soft pre-op. Does anyone know what causes the chest to become hard? Is it the hardening of the fluid I was injected with? Or is it the hardening of some kind of tissue? I wear a compression garment day & night. My doctor said it's not really necessary but it's better if I do. My mini scars (the holes in which the tumescent liposuction was performed) are healing very nicely and rapidly - that's the good thing. Anyway, I'm going to take the advice of many on here and just be patient. Hopefully the swelling will subside and I'll have a flat chest.

Hang in there, sadgyneguy, I'm sure things will get better. Hopefully in a month or so some good (flatter chest) results can start to surface. If not, we can file a double team suit on our doctors!!!111 ;D

i'm about 3 months and 1 week post-op right now....the hard stuff is all scar tissue, it's trying to replace what used to be there.  don't worry, it'll go away in time.  it's too early to start massaging, but once you do it'll all go away.  you're fine :)

fleetwd, I just messaged you the following:

"Hey, buddy, I was wondering if you can elaborate about the hardened scar tissue and how/when it will go away. Has it gone away for you? Please forgive me for being so inquisitive, but I just spent like half of my life savings on this operation, yet I still look like I have boobs. They're just hard now! lol"

I posted it in here in case anyone else has the same concerns or can possibly even provide some input.

1week, 5days post op.

i always do massaging. even there is pain, i have to tolerate it, since i want a 100%satisfaction guaranteed results. my doctor didnt gave me any binder cause he said it will be fine with or without the binder. but im using my underworks body shaper nylon spandex top underwear to give it a good compression and planning to remove it by this afternoon. i even started doing light weightlifting of 20lbs barbell curl-ups but the side of my chest aches slightly.

btw, i just wanna share what i read from liposuction.com

Prolonged Compression Now Make Matters Worse

Now that tumescent technique has become the standard of care, the traditional post-liposuction techniques, established before the invention of the tumescent technique, may now contribute to delayed healing and prolonged swelling. With tumescent liposuction there is no need for prolonged high compression because there is no significant bleeding during surgery, and virtually no blood remains trapped beneath the skin. After tumescent liposuction, closing incisions with sutures will prevent drainage of residual blood-tinged anesthetic solution, and encourage swelling. In addition, the prolonged use of excessive compression after tumescent liposuction will compress the subcutaneous lymphatic capillaries and impair the lymphatic drainage system that is responsible for removing fluid from injured tissues. After tumescent liposuction, the goal is to maximize the rate of drainage of residual blood-tinged tumescent anesthetic solution.

Actually, there's no real swelling now, but I have these lumps (that resemble gyne) still. They've gone down SLIGHTLY since my last post.

MUCH better, but obviously not 100%. I'd say that my left side is 70% better and my right side is 50% better. So I'm psyched for the summer!  ;D How about you, guys? Any progress?

mine has improved but not yet flat. it still protrudes but less obvious. im still waiting for the 1-1/2 month mark because doc said results will be good and swelling will be gone. but my chest is somehow hard and there are parts that are numb. i will post my pics in the 1-1/2 month mark. Good luck!!!  :)

I have great results in my right pec, but my left one is so stubborn! ugh I just reached my 1 month mark, so hopefully it will improve over time.  :D

one side is really flat? my nipples still do protrude but im thinking that it is just because of swelling. this is my first month mark too. and i hope by 1-1/2 month mark, everything will be fine, cause i will be returning to work after a long long long vacation. :)

Well, my right side is not completely flat, but it's close to what I want it to look like. On the other hand, while my left pec doesn't look as decent (there's swelling and soreness in both pecs, but more so in my left pec) as my right pec, it still is much better than pre-op. I too hope that I have significant results by my 6-week appointment. I know it's unlikely, but a gynecomastic can dream, can't he?  :P
