Post Surgery Vests (Under Armour is rubbish)

Hey guys,

Just thought I would post my experience of post surgery vest wearing. I had my surgery on 15th December at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol, UK.

Immediately post surgery I was bandaged and made to wear a tubigrip. I wasnt given a vest (but this makes sense as my opp was on the NHS which is notoriously poor and I was lucky to get it for free anyway).

I went home and ordered one of these

Its ugly, really ugly and fairly feminine, but its convenient to put on and feel good. I sleep in it and wear it to work (I walk in without it and put it on when im cool again, to avoid sweating)

It is fairly difficult to wash requiring hand washing, hang dry without heat and then refrigeration! WTF. Anyway though, its good.

I then bought Vest 997 at Underworks and wished I hadnt bothered (the link says 996, but the vest is 997)

Its ok to get on, but too long. Its really, really fugly. It doesnt look like a 'normal' vest at all, its made of a weird plastic material. Its far bulkier than the earlier vest and rides up my stomach under clothes. It feels cold against my body regardless of how hot the room is. It also rubs on my nipples more than the other one, which is painful. I wish I hadn't bought it.

I think the only saving grace is that perhaps it stops my chest from moving about a bit more than the other, better vest. This means I might wear the white vest whilst I exercise. It is also looser on the armpits so perhaps will not sweat so much when i exercise.

Anyway, thats my experience of these things. I wish I had just stuck with the first vest.
