Fat Behind the Nipple

Is it possible that there is fat on my chest, mainly behind the nipples, that cause my nipples to be puffy?
I was overweight for a few years when  I was young (10-13), then I lost all of it but there seems to be fat remaining in my chest. Lowering body fat by doing cardio and diet is the solution?

Typically, its gland and not fat that causes puffy nipples.  Fat will give the chest that "boob-like" appearance, but the gland is usually to blame for pushing out the nipple.
