Hi Guys,

Just wanting to get your thoughts on my chest. I think there is gyno there, went and saw a doctor lastweek, going to see the specialist next. Possibility of a hormone imbalance? anyone know anymore about this?

Thanks a lot.

Craig

Your gyne looks really similar to mine as well.  When I went to see my physician a little while ago (after I knew what gyne actually was) I asked him about it and he said there wasn't any hormonal issues to be concerned about... that being said, he classified it as pseudogynecomastia (an erroneous term, if you've read what the doctors say).  Losing weight would probably help, but since spot treatment doesn't work (trust me, i know) the only real solution is surgery.  But, the good thing is there isn't much gland to deal with, just fat.  At least I assume thats a good thing...

Losing weight can help in your case. Just try it before getting surgery. I think that by losing weight and practising weight lifting, you may be able to avoid surgery.

looks like there is gland there to me. notice the oval shape that is just a little bit larger then the nip. you're not fat so I think it is gland. Which won't go away with fat loss.

id kill for your chest dude...ive lost 62lbs...and STILL dont look like that...

maybe another 20lbs will do the trick...along with tons more chest exercises...

a suggestion for you...start lifting heaving weights...decline and incline bench press.

3 reps of 10. 3-4 days a week. it will start to look more muscular, and youll care less

Thanks for all the advice guys. I know it may seem quite minor but it is very frustrating for me.

Ive been lifting for about a year now, nothing too serious though. Im afraid that building the chest up too much will make it more noticable.

Anyone had any experience with this?

If i was to opt with surgery would it just mean getting the gland removed and no lipo?

Cheers.

I would lift weights man.

I have spent the last 6 months in the gym, and it has only made my chest look WAY better. I have a huge upper chest now, and I am working on dropping the fat, and building the lower chest. Id suggest going to the gym before surgery.

to me its just the way your built your not skin and bones and from the pics the gland that you do have is evenly distributed from what i can see which doesnt make you stand out

i think you could benefit from jogging and push ups
i try and stay away from weights because its easier for me to evenly work out my body doing push ups i can focus the strain better with weights it gets to heavy my right side does all the work plus push ups is all natural you cant really harm your body
hope this makes since

Hi All,

Thought I would come back on the boards and show my post op photos, been 6months now. Sorry they are not as clear and the first ones.
Probably rate the op and 8/10, still not 100% confident to be out with my shirt off but love being able to wear tighter fitting shirts now.
Scars are still quite noticeable, about 1/2cm either side of each nipple, but are slowing diminishing.

Cheers,

Craig.

Looking at your pics, I am still convinced that trying to lose weight could be the first option to study. Food for thought...  ::)

I have the same type of extended scarring but only on one side. It's fading now 5 months post op. Did you have any contour issues? Do contour issues resolve after 5 months? Mine are very minor only when I'm trying to force the contour issue I wonder if it will resolve?
