I have just recently heard about Gynecomastia and I am concerned for my 14 yr old son.  He has never been very active or athletic.  We have always attributed his "Flab" to his inactivity.  Should I address this with his Ped.?

the weight/gyne dynamic is a vicious circle, having gyne tends to keep you indoors and depressed and inactive.  should we assume you have observed symptoms of gyne besides the fact he's inactive?  excess weight isn't great for health anyway, the ped would have suggestions for weight and might diagnose gyne, but if the kid's had it 2-3 years, it won't just go away even if the ped thinks it will.
* a man is more than a body will ever tell
* if it screws up your life the same, is there really any such thing as "mild" gyne?
