I have scar tissue surrounding the nipple on both sides after a the first doctor cut around both nipples. I had a second surgery that removed the remaining breast tissue and now the contour  of my chest is much much better. Had I gone to the surgeon I went to the second time I would have been perfectly happy. So it serves as a lesson to choose your surgeon wisely. My question is if there is anything I can do to reduce the appearance of the scars? Or should I just count my losses and deal with it?

Good gynecomastia surgical sculpture should include education for patients about scar care for that doctor's technique. For my patients I prefer to individualize their After Surgery Scar Care. I also use a Second Stage Compression Garment. Scars that evolve under pressure do better than scars without.

Hope this helps,
