About 2/3 years ago I got Gynecomastia.
Now I am 17 years old. However I was very late with puberty. For example I still dont have any facial hair.
So should I go and do something about this and try to get surgery or will it go away after a while? Because it really bothers me
The information about gynecomastia is different everywhere you look. Some say it will never go away and some sites say you need to wait if you are in puberty. I have no idea what to do. Could you please help me out?

The gynecomastia that arises during puberty typically resolves within a 3 year period in 95% of men.  If you've had it longer than 3 years, then it probably won't go away on its own.  Even if you started late, if it's been there 3 years...

Hope that helps.

If you have had stable gyne for three years, odds are it will not disappear by itself.  There is no ideal timetable, however -- you could wait another year or two but it will probably remain the same.

In view of your delayed puberty, it may be wise to consult an endocrinologist and ascertain if all your hormones are normal.

If you are interested in surgery, then consider going to a gyne specialist -- there are excellent gyne doctors in all parts of the US.  Just be sure to interview several doctors and see examples of their work before committing to surgery.

Good luck!
