what is your opinion on using tattoo to cover incision scars...
Ive seen some "medical tattoo artists" that are supposed to  make the white lines the same color as the rest of the areola
is it something you would recommend to your patients?

First, wait at least 6-8 months or more to assess the quality and appearance of your post-op scar.  Oftentimes, nothing needs to be done -- the scars tend to heal very well.

On occasion, however, a guy can heal with a wide/thickened/depressed/red/darkly pigmented scar.  It would be best to speak with your surgeon about management -- each condition may require a different treatment.

I would hold off tattoo as a last resort.
