Good luck blitz with that Blitz. I haven't seen too much significant improvement with the bruising (although I didn't have too much to begin with) but I think it will go away in a month or two.

Day 9 Post Op:

I went and I saw Fielding again today at St. Joseph's (I don't really care for that hospital) and he reopened up my stitches under my left nipple and drained the blood out of there.  I was staring at the ceiling the entire time.  It was gelatinous and he squeezed very hard to get most of it.  A little painful but I was able to handle it.  Think of it as popping a huge zit that's not quite ready but you force it out anyways.  The nurse put a band aid/pad over it before I could see the damage.

The area feels softer then before and he said I went down a cup size.  He said it would have eventually flushed through my system but the reason he did it is because plastic surgery patients want the visual immediately and his job is to provide that.  Thank God he subscribes to that theory.  He said it might have taken 3 months for it to go through my system instead of the 2 weeks I originally thought I heard.

It was frustrating for me to see one side look amazing and the other side look like it got bigger. I'll probably sneak a peak tonight to see what it looks like.

Other then that, still a bit sore but the bruising is going away.  I noticed that everyone has that yellow shade to them a few days after surgery.  I noticed mine on day 4 post op.

Any idea if OHIP cpvers travelling and hotel costs?  I'm from Ottawa and hoping to see Dr. Fielding so I just want to know  what I can get covered and estimate how much the whole thing will cost.

I've never once heard of OHIP paying for travel and accomadations.  As for Fielding.  OHIP covers part of the procedure.  I paid $1605 for my surgery and that so far is the most expensive anyone has paid for Fielding (that we know of) from this site.

13 days post op:

Swelling has gone down considerably in the left chest region.  I put a hot water bottle on it last night and it felt pretty good.  No pain when stretching and I give the bruises another week before fully healed.  As for the tensor wrap.  I've gotten so use to wearing it that on the few occasions around the house when I don't have it on, I feel "naked".  It does feel weird when I walk without it on.  I can see why the doctor makes you wear one because it does help in the healing process.

Will post pics soon.

Day 15 post op:

Bruising still clearing up.  The hematoma is still visible on the left side but it doesn't hurt and it's gotten a lot softer.  I pray it goes down soon.

I will book an appointment with Fielding as soon as he gets back from holidays.

I can't wait to hit the gym.  I feel like my super powers are fading (joke).  I'll still give it another week before I start doing some light workouts.  No chest exercises but some light cardio and maybe some arm curls.

Has there not been any progress since your pics you posted the other day?

Blitz you probably want to wait a good four weeks before you even start doing light cardio my man.  You've just said that you got a haematoma so working out any upper part of your body will actually pump more blood into that region causing more swelling.
I took a good month off gym and got back to it only the week before last.  This past week (my 2nd week back to gym) I was doing the weights I was at pre-op.  So gym recovery will be next to nothing and you need not worry about your 'super powers' fading.   ;D

Day 20 post op:

The hematoma has gone down considerably.  At this rate, I give myself another month before it is completely gone (fingers crossed on that one).  I'm only going to wear the tensor bandages when I sleep from now on.  I don't feel that it's necessary to be wearing it all day.  I'll be 3 weeks as of tomorrow and this is my first day without wearing it to work.  I have a desk job so there's no heavy lifting involved.

Because of the hematoma, I put a hot water bottle on it at night and I think in my mind, that this has helped in the healing process.  A few weeks ago, I thought I would never see the light at the end of this tunnel but I'm starting to now.

I want to hit the gym this week.  I've decided no upper body exercises.  Just legs and some cycling.  It's funny with us gyne guys.  I think a lot of us has gone gym crazy in the past in the hope it would rid us of our gyne.  You would think with our gyne now removed after surgery that we'd lay off the gym.  Now, I'm even hungrier to get back in there and start working out.  If there has been a bonus of having gyne, it would be my hunger to keep working out.

Will post again later this week.

Day 21 post op (3 weeks!!!):

I wasn't going to post until later on this week but when I looked at my chest this morning, it looked like my left side went down another cup size.  One more cup size and I'll be looking pretty nornal.

I'm still putting the hot water bottle on it at night and I really believe that's making the difference.  I have a pool party to go to next weekend and I'm hoping that it will drop that cup size.  If not, I think I can get away with a tight muscle shirt.

Will post again by the weekend unless if there's a dramatic change like this morning.

Day 22 post op:

I finally went to the gym last night.  The first time in 3 and a half weeks.  It was good.  I did not work my chest at all.  Just triceps, biceps, legs and rode the elliptical machine for 22 minutes.  Got a very good sweat out of it but I still like my jogging for the intense cardio.  I won't be jogging for at least another week though.

The left side is looking very good.  I will post pics once it looks like the right side.

Will update this weekend on my hematoma.

Day 26 post op:

I still have some swelling on my left side because of the hematoma.  It's getting better everyday.  It's at the point where it's smaller then what my breast was before surgery.

This Saturday I have that pool party (I mentioned earlier) I have to go to.  The way things look right now, I might jump in.  I may have some explaining to do but with 5 and half days left before Saturday, I'm hoping the swelling goes down a little bit more and then I should be fine.

Last week, I bought some tank tops at Old Navy.  One was a large (blue) and the other a medium (black...they ran out of large).  I wore the medium tank top all day yesterday at a park in Brampton.   Because of the material they're made out of, both tops hug the body.  Not once did I have to pull my shirt or slouch forward.  I had my shoulders back and I was standing straight.  It felt awesome.  If they had a pool for adults, I would have jumped right in.

I don't know how much longer we're going to have this awesome weather but I hope it's here for at least another month (hopefully two).  I do know that next summer will definitely be my "coming out gyne party."  I'm even trying to set up a holiday with my girlfriend in Mexico for January.  This is something I would have never initiated in the past.

I should be getting to the gym tonight.  I still won't be doing any chest exercises because of the hematoma but I might try the treadmill.  If it feels weird, then I'll just go on the eliptical machine.

I will post later on this week and if I don't, I will definitely post after the pool party.

Hey Blitz good to see your recovering well! I have no clue as to how the hell I am a couple of days ahead of you now in my log(since we had the surgery on the same day), but math was never a strong point!

Anyway, i've been running and working out for the last week now with no pain at all. Tomorrow I am going to be doing chest exercises for the first time so I hope that goes well. But anyway not really pushing myself too hard right now since I haven't really worked out in a year.
