I need gynecomastia bad, had it since high school.

Went to a plastic surgeon who has experience with gyne and he told me that I needed a bilateral mastectomy. I am 21 and have currently taken a breast MRI and the tissue came out clear with no potential problems, only fat buildup. I do have large nipples as you can see from the images. I have had this condition since 13 and have been afraid to take my shirt off, which means I rarely went to swim, despite the fact that I love athletics and was a three-sport athlete in high school: soccer, wrestling, gymnastics. I noticed that the skinnier I got the more protruding the gyne was, which is the reason why I am currently out of shape. I have just recently tried to lose more weight to better my health, but when I run I notice breast pain from no support and I will NEVER wear a bra. I need some advice, I am desperate, this has taken a severe psychological toll on me and I currently have a gf that doesn't really know that I have this condition and I don't know how she would react, I hide it under clothing, it's winter. Surgery is my only option, but I don't want any scarring or especially deformities and yet I also want it to be as even and flat as it can be. Maybe this will motivate me to start working out without fear of humiliation.

Any help on surgical procedures that can flatten my chest, have little scarring, and would also avoid deformities would greatly help.

I think others will agree that picking a very experienced surgeon is key.  There are a lot of good surgeons who post on this board (see Ask a Doc section) as well as others that you'll see more frequently discussed in the regional sections.  Do your research, then some consultations with the docs on your expectations and what to expect post surgery.  Scarring is generally minimal and I suspect no one other than a surgeon would be able to tell.  But a poor surgery can leave you with potential deformities which is why it's all that more important to pick the most experienced and qualified surgeon you can!

your gyne looks alot like how mine did before. Get the surgery you will benefit from it! scaring is minimal and it will  look 100x better with small scars than what it looks like now
