should i consider surgery at 14?!

i think my parents are setting me up an appointment to go to the family doctor to have my chest checked out for gyno. But im pretty sure that i have it and i was wondering if i should consider surgery if my parents would agree, because my chest makes me REALLY embarrassed when i wear a certain kind of shirt that makes it very abnormal, or when i have my shirt off. I think the mental effect is pretty bad, thanks!

That is a decision for you and your parents to make together.  Have your parents research everything they can on the subject and  go from there.  They are taking a first step in the right direction by taking you to the doctor.  I will say however, I took my son to the doctor and he said it would go away.  It did not and never would have.  He was about a c cup at the time.  My son is 13 and had the surgery in December.  He has done fantastic and we are so happy we made the decision to have it done.  If the doctor does not give you any satisfaction after you meet with him talk to one of the board certified surgeons on this site.  They are very good at giving their honest opinion and getting the ball rolling in the right direction.  Good luck!  I understand because of my son what you are  going through!

I had my first one at 14. Ask yourself what waiting will accomplish. Whats different is 4 years other than the fact that you spent another 4 years feeling uncomfortable. As long as its stable, my vote is get it done and move on with your life.
