Following surgery for mild gyno, will the undergarment keep everything compressed and flat-sort of like a preview of things to come when it is no longer needed or will swelling sort of make everything look sort of pre-surgery until nature takes it's course? I'm just anxious to start the new look asap with spring coming. Anybody's input would be great.

I think the compression vest definitely helps keep swelling under control.  I know that since taking off the vest 6 weeks after surgery, my chest has swollen out a little more than it used to be.  Nothing serious mind you, but it's definitely not as flat as before.  No worries though, it will all sort itself out in time!  ;D
Shakenbake baby, SHAKE N BAKE!!  Ya, that just happened.

Cant believe its been 6 weeks shaknbake! Thats awesome man im at 5 weeks. Your right about how random the swelling is. Some days i am some days im not and then i am again! Wth!? Im still happy with the results im just worried about my skin. It disnt seem to be tightening up and retracting as much as i thought it would by now. I mean its nothing drastic but around my nipple/areola its a little loose and i always have these crescent half moon folds when i take off my vest. Have you experienced this at all? Just curious. Im gonna ask my surgeon when i go on march 5th. Anyway glad to hear your doing well! Stay in touch

Hey there Masked!  The only weird thing I've come across so far is a crease that developed on my right side from beneath the nipple area extending towards the side of my chest under the arm.  Its not there all the time, it depends on how I move, or if I lean forward.  I don't know if wearing a compression vest helped or hindered this, I think personally it would have happened either way.  Again, it will sort itself out in time.  BTW - 7 weeks post op today!

Another thing as well st23.  One of the reasons I chose to have surgery just after the new year was to give my body as much time as possible to heal before summer.  Hopefully most if not all of the oddball swelling and such will subside by then.  Hope yours turns out as awesomeas you are hoping for!

Thanks for the quick reply that actually made me feel a little better this little weird crease of skin under the nipple must be normal. I'm pretty sure it's just our skin still in the process of retracting. Like you I'm also really hoping that the swelling and skin creases work themselves out by summertime so that way I can finally enjoy going swimming and being shirtless during the summer time. I'm gonna have to post some pictures up soon I'm in general just really enjoying my life right now and not to have to worry about if someone is staring at my chest or how my chest looks in my clothes I'm going to be 6 weeks on friday which is when I can finally quit wearing my compression vest. I'm kind of debating to continue to wear the best even after 6 weeks in hopes that it will speed up my recovery even more.

I have 2 compression shirts that I still wear on occassion.  I found that after taking off the vest for a full day, my chest was achey.  I suppose it grew accustomed to the added support of the compression vest.  I would (and still do) massage, and that helps it feel better.  My chest feels a lot better now though after about a week of no vest.  It has "toughened up" a bit more, and doesn't ache like it did at first.  Gets a tiny bit better every day!
