If i want to have the surgery, how would i make an appointment? My mom says that first, I have to go to our family doctor, who would then send me to a bigger hospital(the Children's hospital in LA), where i would then be referred to a plastic surgeon. I already have a plastic surgeon in mind( Dr. Kapoor), would it be faster to just go to his office or would I have to go to my family doctor first? I'm going to be forming at my freshman year in college around the end of August, and I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to get rid of this before then :/ PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

If you have had gynecomastia for more  than two years I would go see the plastic surgeon. If he honks you need to see an endocrinologist he should refer you.

yeah, When i first went to hospital, I was 14 and the doctor told me to just wait 2 more years max to see if it shrunk. I'm 18 now and fed up. I've played sports all four years in high school, and more fit than the majority of the players in my team, but i have this stupid gyno :(

Have you had a hormonal and metabolic blood work done? Your general doctor could easily get that blood work done for you. Thats really the only thing most PS want to know - if you have some underlying cause for the gyno.

Well when i last went, I had a lot of blood tests. I don't know which specific tests I had, but the doctor said that my hormone balance was very natural and didn't know why my chest was so weird. i guess she thought that it was just something from puberty that would go away

Thanks so much! I'm going to go directly to Dr. Vishal Kooper. I've heard really good things about him and i hope he can cure me of this annoying burden! :D has anyone heard anything about him?
