Yes Arnica is homeopathic.  No idea whether it actually did anything or not but I saw both Levick & Karidis recommend their patients to take it so I saw no harm in trying it.

You're right - jakeyboy's thread is one of the best on the whole site.

Well that seems irresponsible for Doctors. Apart from the fact that Homeopathy doesn't work, there are trials and systematic reviews pointing specifically against arnica being effective.

"The claim that homeopathic arnica is efficacious beyond a placebo effect is not supported by rigorous clinical trials." (Ernst and Pittler, 1998)

Exactly a fortnight to go. I sent Jeremy the money before I arrived, just as I didn't want to travel with that much money on me. It's so surreal to look at my chest and think "I'll only have there for another 14 days".

Jeremy arranged for the blood tests, scans and taxis from Berlin so I ended up paying him 1512 pounds. The ibis was 240 pounds for 8 nights including breakfast. All up, everything should come to around 2,000.

Just arrived in Berlin. I decided to spend 3 days here before the surgery. My laptop refuses to go to the hotel WiFi redirect page, so I'm having to use my phone. Not the end of the world, just means that a longer post might be a time coming. I'll update once I reach Poland.

Enjoy Berlin.  Good idea to spend a few days there first - kind of wish I'd done the same.

It's a nice city. It's an odd feeling ay the moment, as I've played everything through in my head so many times, it just feels like another thing to get done.

Just arrived in Sczezin. The room's nice and has free wifi, but I'll have to get a new login every day. Getting here was easy enough; I arrived at Tegel Airport, gave my name to the driver and was ushered on board. He was nice enough to drop me off at the Ibis. The coach played Green Zone dubbed in Polish (a single, monotone voice did every character) and the trip took about 3 hours.

I've unpacked my things and am just going to kill time before trying to get an early night. I bought a bunch of dried fruit, nuts and Hawaii mix in Berlin, so I'll have something to eat before I get a chance to buy some groceries. Next update will be from the other side.
