Questions about post op

I'm 6 days post op right now and have had bandages removed. Now I'm just wearing the vest. How long am I supposed to keep it on for? My chest in considerably flat from before, but not completely. I'm guessing I'll have to wait a few weeks or so for it to settle down completely. Is this normal? How long does it take?

The vest should be worn for about a month. I took mine off after about 3 and a half weeks because I felt completely comfortable without it, but it's up to your judgement and your doctor's recommendations. As far as totally settling down, the universal minimum seems to be about six months. I'm a week and a half shy of three months, and I still have scar tissue, localized swelling, and tenderness of the nipple area.

Why dont you ask your doctor these questions mate? I asked all of these things befor sugery.... He told me to leave my vest on for at least 6 weeks, as this is what gives you "lift" if you had prominent gyno, good luck with your healing
