Hormone levels

Hi, what are the tests that have to be performed to get a reasonably complete hormonal profile wrt gyno?

The lab tests ordered may vary, depending on the physician, but these are important to check:

TSH level
Total and free testosterone levels
Estradiol level
Liver function studies
Possibly beta hCG level
Creatinine level
LH & FSH levels

The harder part - after you get the levels back is to understand the difference between "normal ranges" and "ideal levels".

I have great faith in my Family Doctor, but some things really need a specialist. Interpreting the results of all those hormone levels is one of thos situations were a specialist is needed.

The various hormones do not act alone like a soloist on a musical instrument. They act in conjunction with all the others like a large orchestra playing a symphony. The individual results mean little. Have an Endocrinologist go over those lab results or the tests are a waste of money.

I agree. I've seen about 4 doctors who didn't really even know some of the common symptoms/ complications of low testosterone & had zero knowledge on TRT.

I saw an Endo instead....
