Nipples peeling 10 days post op.

I'm 10 days post op and couldnt help but notice dark, dry skin around the areola for the past few days. I just thought it was dried up blood but it started peeling in the shower exposing what looks like the nipple's flesh. This is nowhere near the incison but directly in the middle of my areola.  Should I be concerned or is this normal?

Not unusual.  Think of it as a deep sunburn in which the outer layer of skin will dry and peel off leaving fresh skin underneath.  It should heal well over time.
