Hello all,

I got my surgery done last year in nov. I have some scar tissue on my left chest and they are about the size of little peas. I recently began to pinch them to break it down in the hopes that they would flatten and it truly felt like I was able to flatten them. However, I woke up this morning and the scar tissue suddenly got 3 times the size! Has anybody else had this same issue?

My guess is that my squeezing the tissue, you caused additional swelling.

If you have scar tissue after gyne surgery, the best treatment is with a cortisone injection administered by your surgeon.

Thank you Dr. Jacobs!

Quick question, the scar tissue has swollen up 3x the size and looks like a huge bruise on my chest. Will this resolve over time back to its normal size or should get it taken look at immediately?

You were probably too vigorous in squeezing and massaging -- and caused some bleeding.  It should resolve spontaneously over time.
