I perform the lateral pull through in about 80% of patients and believe that it has advantages over other the peri areolar approach in that it avoids the scar as well as the tendency to remove too much tissue directly beneath the nipple. I does take a little longer in the operating room though.

There are a number of techniques that are used during surgery. The individual's anatomy will dictate which technique is best for a particular patient. As far as travel patients frequently travel by plane, train or car  the day after surgery. If patients have someone to drive for them they are driven home the night of surgery.
