Hi guys! I'm new to this site. I finally had my gynecomastia surgery on the 17th after years of embarrassment. I'm so glad that I finally got it done. How long does it take for everything to settle? I hope everything looks good when I start law school next fall. The incision area feels find of tough. Is that the scar tissue? Is that normal? At what point do I start massaging the scar tissue to soften it?

It will take several months til the final results begin to show.  Be patient, don't "micro-scrutinize", and be in touch with your surgeon as regards any concerns.
