Treatment of a hematoma is a judgment call.  Small hematomas may be watched and then attempts made to aspirate them with a needle after the blood clots have liquified (usually around 10 days later).  If the hematoma is large, then it should be evacuated sooner rather than later by opening the wound and removing the clotted blood.  If you leave a large hematoma intact, it can pre-dispose to excessive scar tissue, irregular contours and a less than optimal result.

Best to return to your surgeon for complete evaluation.

That is NOT a hematoma -- it is simply some bruising which is common after surgery.  It is harmless, will disappear spontaneously without need for your surgeon and will not affect the final result.

Relax, all is OK.

I agree with Dr. Jacobs. There are a ariety of supplements that can be tried in order to speed up the resolution of bruising. This includes Arnica, Papaya extract, Bromelein, magnet therapy, heat / massage and enzymatic supplements. You should check with your surgeon before trying any of them.
