lol.. do u think my chest is too big?

u know us guys have chests 2.

u might get offended by this.

but i definatly think that if you are this weight/height.. u are very frail, have insanely low amounts of lean muscle..

and basically your chest looks huge becuase you dont have any lean muscle on your shoulder blades/arms/and basically your whole upper body region.

depending on the way your pectorial muscle is shaped, and basically the way your upper body is built.. u might just be a guy for whom the etheopian running man look doesn't work...

if you ever see any pics of hallocaust surrivors.. you'll notice how much ther chest cavity sticks out.  All their muscle is gone, and well their fat too.  However in your case, i'm guessing your bodyfat isn't all that low, and you just have low amounts of lean muscle which is causing that very low weight.  So your chest looks out of proportion to you.  And it might to other people.

my advice...

Bulk up to 170-180 lbs.  Get yourself a bodytest done.  And then learn proper nutrition/training and get yourself to a healthy 10-11%.

i will gaurante you will be 10x more satisfied with your chest.

25yrs / 134 pounds / 5"8.ft... wow

well, i think you  not only have bdd, but an eating disorder to go along with it

a 25 year old male who is 5.8 should not weigh 134 lbs.

u are 3 inches shorter than i.. and by all respects i'm farking skinny
.. comic relief for u guys

sup.

Thanks for the pics.. theyre great and I wish my chest was that flat and that symetrical and scarfree around the aerolas.

yeh you do have bad posture... but I think my "scoliosis-related issue" doesnt have much to do with posture because no matter how straight or correctly I stand I still have a certain curve to my baCK and one hip higher than the other.

Firstly to clarify I weigh 60/61 kilograms (which I guess is roughly 134 pounds) , and I am 5 inches shorter than you (there are 12 inches in a foot dude), and I am not that narrow from shoulder to shoulder.

bASED on your pics, I dont actually look as skinny as that, or as toned  and my body (when poked) seems softer rather than harder.

As I said I have no idea my bf%, but my arms and legs and even abs look very skinny and have very little mucle whatsoever. So while I dont weigh too much, I wouldnt wanna be putting on any weight that is not pure muscle - But riight now all I do is run, play tennis and basketball but never lift any weights at all.

Im not going for the ethiopian marathon man look at all, but I just think that a guys chest should be somewhat proportionate to the size and shape of the rest of their frame. Like I dont think your chest could or should be much bigger or muscular than it is right now , if you werre to maintain that build, probably couldnt be much flatter either unless you got reall skinny...
Surely you dont feel that your chest is too large right now right?... cos it looks pretty darn near flat to me.
I mean is your gyne issue resolved now or what?.. it looks fine to me-

How can I put on lean muscle without bulking up too much or eating too much? ... right now Im eating about 1700-2200 cals a day and Im not always that hungry anyway.

thanks for the honest, down-the-line advice though .. I like it that way.

ps. you got any frontaL SHOTS, with you arms by your sides ?
... and the saga continues

I can remember when calling a man "Barrel Chested" was a compliment.

For those of us with Gynecomastia, The breasts are less obvious if the chest is large.  My chest (above and below the breasts) is 44 inches.  Measured over the nipples, the tape reaches 48 inches.  The breasts do not seem overly large.  But if the breasts were the same size and I had a 38 inch chest the breasts would be much more prominent.  My waist is 32-34 inches.   Not a bad build for a man nearing 70.

I think barrel-chested is only a compliment relative to the rest of a guys size and frame.

ps: your specs do sound very good and fit for someone close to 70. great job there

i apologies, i did the math wrong.

yes my posture is fucked up, but in fact one of my shoulder blades stands higher than other.. the pic of the side is the lower side one, where the pec sags more.  STanding correctly my chest is flat.. just thought it might help you.

As far as bodyfat/chest goes.  If i were to go to 15% right now, and maintain the current amount of lean muscle i have .. i would have a saggy chest i'm sure.  I'm guessing this is your problem.  you might be low weight/relatively lean.. but the bodyfat is actually what you need to be looking at.

they have calipers at gym, but a good estimate is basically when you're not water bloated.. say in mornings when you wake up..  Stand up straight, and flex your abdomin.. if u can see at least the upper six packs.. the 4 of them lol, you are 10% range.  i'd say 10-12% for sure.

i really can't tell you whats up for sure though withotu pics.  It's really hard to give an oppinion without seeing what your chest looks like.

as far as my gyno resolving.. i don't know.

see a weird thing happened to me during puberty.  i went from being .. not fat, just chunky/not very athletic, smaller height..

to being 6'1, very lean, and started running track.  my mile was 4:41 best in h/s so i mean i was relatively fit.

My chest like yours i felt was relatively to big for my body.  Granted no one ever told me this, and my chest was huge when i was a kid because i was chunky.. it might have been bdd.

what happens when you lean otu fast.. some portions of your body still have accumulated fat more than others.. and it sorta evens out eventually.  IT not only happened to my chest.  I did have actual hard mass behind each nipples which went away completely in the right side, and a little dispersed bit is left in the left side.

when you feel your behind your nipple... is there anything there at all?  What could be the case is that your surgeon took out the buds, or the center gyno, and left the surrounding fibrous stuff that is mixed in with fat giving ur chest a bigger look.

again really hard to see without pics.. but if u recently had the surgery... time can be a pretty nice cure too.

No-one has ever said anything about my chest - but thats because I only noticed I had gyne around age 19/20 (had sslightly puffy nipples, from about age 15, but they never protruded from my chest really until after age 19), but I guess thats because I havent taken my shirt off at all since I was about 19...

sucks1, I think you are most definitely right about my body composition, because I run a lot (thats also part of my non-medicinal depression treatment too), and so prob burn a fair bit of muscle too. when you look at me shirtless I am skinny but not toned - I have a soft tummy, back, soft somewhat flabby (IMO) chest  and stick-thin, toneless arms and legs and wheN i FLEx my abs you can see a 4-6 pack, especially if I lean back a bit, but the ab area is still soft and squishy in general.
If I raise my arms you caN SEE all my ribs and bones at the top of my chest  and my collarbone, and ribcage all juts out. so I know Im probably underweight , but I really want to stay around this weight or a few pounds higher but just be a lot more muscular in the sense of lean muscle (I dont wanna look broad and square like a gym rat , more like a cyclist)

I know it would be a big help if I had pictures, but I dont .. yet hopefully Ill be buying a dgital camera soon, so I can finally post some.

and do you know where I can do a bodyfat% test for free, cos I dont go to gym and I dont wanna ask a gp... my gp already thinks I am a major hypochondriac as it is... Is there like a shop that has bodyfat scales or something ??

you said "when you feel your behind your nipple... is there anything there at all?  What could be the case is that your surgeon took out the buds, or the center gyno, and left the surrounding fibrous stuff that is mixed in with fat giving ur chest a bigger look".
 - I already suggested that to my surgeon and he said that the gland was a large lump just right under my nipples.. and I had surgery 8 months ago, with no changes between 2-3 month mark and now.

PS: WHEN I WAS DESCRIBING HOW FLAT I WAS EXPECTING MY CHEST TO BE AND HOW FLAT I THINK IT SHOULD LOOK,WHILST STILL KEEPING A REALISTIC PERSPECTIVE, THIS IS WHAT LOOK I WAS TALKING ABOUT.

check out this guys before and after pics below ( and remember ,he is 30 yrs old, withn that chest...)

bro you are a lot like me in your .. how to say "luck of the draw" in terms of genetics.

some people.. they are just not predisposed to burning fat and keeping muscle.  Some people, at a certain point, just stop burning fat and go to catabolic mode on their lean muscle tissue.

you might have in general, less fat than somone else, but they have a smaller% of bodyfat...

i'm really starting to rambel, but i think you have unrealstic expectations about the way you should look like.

not everyone can look athletic and have a nice chest.

ok, everyone can.. but some people need to apply 10x more effort and substitue drugs in order to achieve the effect.

i would definatly google up ud2 by lyle.m, and read that up.. and it will basically explain to you why your body is what it is.

again, i think i know exactly what you are wanting.

it first starts off with you gaining about 40-50 lbs, eating right, lifting..

and then slowly cutting.. (the right way)... not running everyday, eating very little, and rushing to drop the weight..

but carefully partitioning macro nutrients, and maybe even using supplements to aid in retaining lean muscle, while dropping FAT.

ofcource the best thing you can do is go see a shrink.

and not to sound offensive or anything..

but i'm sure no one stares at you becuase of your chest.

sure you dont like your chest.

i dont like my skinny arms, and the fact that they are almost 2 inches too big for my body.

i dont like my head, i think it's too big for my body.

i dont like a lot of things about me....

but you just have to realize/accept that these things make up you.

So i guess what i'm trying to say .. lol

is just try to be normal, and stop hating yourself and direct your hate to the rest of the world because most the time life is just unfair and sucks..
