Good luck Geg please come back and post to let us know how it went. How easy the bandages come off and more importantly how pleased you are with the result.

well taken bandages off.it bloody hurt.trust me not to have shaved the areas that the bandage ahdered to.
well the left hand looks good.this side had more gland on the right side.
but the right hand side which wasnt that bad doesnt look great.theres 2 lines over the chest like dentations but in lines.jopefully this will get better with time.problem is they feel hard to ttouch while the left hand side doesnt feel hard to touch.the sweeling above the armpit where the drains were placed also is still presnt on the right hand side and feels hard to touch too.hope these areas arent scar formation whch my dad thinks it could be.
however its still early days and hopefully these areas flatten out and the indentations disappear.
im now wearing the compression vest full time.there is no bruising/haematoma what so ever.motion in arm is a lot better but im still walking like a mummy and not over extending or over exerting just to be sure.

Nice one geg100, i to have takem my bandages off and i know what you mean they are painfull to get off!, mine has actualy removed some little pieces of skin :o, my left side seems good.. a little swelling at the bottom of the pec and little bruising, there is like a green yellow tinge to my skin on the left, the right hand side is different however, there is a small purple bruise about the size of you little fingernail at the bottom right and side of my pec and the bruising is greeny yellow in colour, also  at the bottom of the pec there is what looks like a bruise but its beneath the skin and hasnt come all the way through i just hope this isnt a severe bruise and would warrent further surgery what do ya think?

I need a bath!, do you think i can leave the vest off for 30 mins or so while i have one.

stonecold i cant remember who did my first op. i thought it was a general surgeon but i was a plastic surgeon a friend of my dads when i had it done under nhs.i could have had it done under nhs again but i wanted levick to do it and money wasnt a issue.

tell you the truth uk2000 yours looks better than mine i think.i think you have to give yourself time to heal and build some muscle up on those pecs.i think once you start develpoing some chest muscle it will look a lot better.

wot it is i feel is 1 side is much lower than the other, and is also bigger in size.  this is wot i have tried to have the surgeon sort out in this surgery.  but it seems he has failed to do so.
u can clearly see on the pic that 1 side has more fat or gland on it, especially under the pic below the nipple area, which is what i wanted removed.

i might even start massaging gently today

but how can you be so sure its gland thats left and not inflammationary tissure you are feeling?even a surgeon wouldnt be able to tell gland from scar or other things going on at this early time.trust me i know i live with a breast reconstruction specialist whos been doing it for 15 yrs.
the other thing is most people chests are bigger in size than the other and is normally assymetrical.you may be more aware of it as its your own body but believe me no one else would notice.i have a hard time telling my patients of this too,and i know my dad does as well.
i wouldnt start massaging so early as you could be producing more inflammatory products to appear.best to wait at least 2 weeks let your body have some time to it self then start massaging.

Uk i think so far so good. I cant see the deformity you spoke of.

I have still got my bandages on but have noticed that the top of my arms, just above the armpit, looks like loose skin. Has anybody else noticed since they have their gyno removed that their is abit more loose skin in that area? Obviously ill see more tommorow but i didnt think realise that i could potentially end up with loose skin hanging around the tops of my armpits?
