Great idea for a thread, taxmapper. Let's get busy, everyone!

Here's a few from a tour we took to the Northern Territory in 2015 in the region known as The Red Centre.

(1) Mt Sonder. Yes, with a little imagination, she is a lady laying on her back
(2) Sunrise over Uluru
(3) Just after sunrise looking at Kata Tjuta.

The shots I take are in the SW US. New Mexico specifically.  We like to call it the American Outback. 

I love the red-orange of the North territory.  I want to visit Oz sometime, and see the land that sprung out kangaroos, wallabies, and Mad Max...

Years ago I was offered a job in Australia. I'm almost sorry I didn't go.  It is such beautiful country.

NM is really pretty. It's quite different from the flat dry plains of west Texas. I love the landscape there. 👍

Wow! This one is one of my favorites. I can't really tell just from one view, but the rock outcrop might just be the edge of a pretty significant fault line. Fairly recent one Geologically speaking judging by erosion. Adding the colors in the foreground acquired by hydrothermal mineralizations.

Seeing the roos walking about and making a general nuisance of themselves is from my perspective a fun part of life.
