Silicon Sheeting fallacy

A lot of doctors and websites will tell you to get silicone sheeting for scars.  These sheetings may cost upwards of 50 dollars, which is absolutely rediculous.  Some of them go as far as saying that using PROVEN ointments such as vitamin E and Aloe for healing can actually make scars WORSE which is absolute crap.  Remember that surgeons don't really care about you, they care about making money, as do websites.  Go homeopathic.  I've been switching between topical vitamin E and aloe from an actual aloe plant after my surgery and its pretty amazing how quickly I've been healing.
