Yeah the nipple pain takes a long time to go away.  My nipples haven't even regained any real feeling yet and I'm over a year post-op from excision / lipo.

Dude, to my understanding, ur nipples are dead after the surgery, isn't that the case people?

I hope not.  My PS didn't tell me that. I would be surprised, because I have seen people post pics when they are post-op and their nips look hard.  I don't think they get hard is there is no feeling.

It’s been 5 weeks now post opt. My left side gland is completely removed. I have no feelings on my left nipple and areola area. As for my right side the PS did not completely remove the breast gland (round lump behind the areola when pressed with my fingers).

The point is my right side has feelings, just like before the sugary. Even before the sugary my PS told me I would lose nipple and areola sensation when the gland is completely removed. I guess he was right only one side...the left side. lol

Hoping to get a revision in 4-6 months, to get the right side done correctly.

As for how I am healing, pretty good. Just a bit sore in the chest area, when touched. The swelling has gone down. No fluid buildup. I wore my compression garment religiously.

Jones,

It was fine with local.  I was in that twilight sleep.  It's over 6 weeks and the pain is basically gone except for right behind the nipples. Odd because I only had lipo. Good news is that the feeling in nips is coming back. They aren't as numb as last week and they don't hurt if touched, rather the pain is in the tissue behind them.

As for going without a shirt, I have no problem. I boat a lot, so I was without a shirt quite often in the summer.  If you've seen most boaters they don't have the best bodies, so I sort of fit in.  My problem was that I was embarrassed about having a pretty good body with a fata$$ chest.  Now I am not covering up at all.  In fact I mowed the lawn shirtless the other day and a neighbor told my wife that she couldn't believe that I was still in such good shape while most guys my age have beer guts.  Wish I knew about this surgery 10 years ago.

Jack9- So, how long exactly b4 you could take your shirt off?  I am just curious, because I have a few things coming up and I want to set the stage if it looks like I will be still a mutant.

who123-  Can your left nipple still get hard?

Jones, I was black-and-blue for a little over 2 weeks, so I kept my shirt on. 3rd week I had a business trip and darned a bathing suit for a few minutes.  I was concerned about not wearing the under armour and self-conscious about the small scars so I put on a t-shirt and went back to my room.  By 4 1/2 weeks, I was out on the boat without a shirt the whole day.  I must say that the constant up, down, and rocking of the ocean did cause some pain. That's what led me to start this post.  I had been told by the doctor that I would be back lifting weights at 4 weeks, so the level of pain I was feeling had me quite concerned. Thankfully, it has finally subsided.

Jones,
tried to drive a few balls this weekend but could only wack a half-bucket.  Had to give the rest to my son.  Maybe next week.

Both my nipples get hard. I can't feel my fingers touching my left nipple, but it gets hard(looking in the mirror). The PS said my sensation would resturn in time.

Jack9-

Thanks, I have to lie my way out of a tee time on the 3rd.  The shirt off is a pretty good guarge for my Vegas trip.  I wasn't planning on going to the pool, but it let's me know I should be cool walking around in a tank top. Thanks.

Who123-

Thanks, I have been asking people that question for a while and for some reason could not get an answer.

7 weeks post op.  almost all the pain is gone except for just a little behind nipple.  Chest still looks perfectly flat.  Feeling in nips is back--actually quite erotic last night.  Can finally lift arms all the way up.  Played nine holes yesterday without a hitch.  Lipo scars can still be noticed.  They actually look like mosquito bites or blemishes so who cares. I'm sure they will disappear eventually.

Has your game improved now that you don't have to swing around the boobs:)  I feel so much better now, that I think I could gold Monday.  I am just scared when I get past the 3rd hole I will regret it.  I can lift my arms all the way up, but if I try to really reach for something it is a bit tough.  I had to kill a bug on the ceiling lastnight.  If the thing would have seen me coming, and made a break for it, I would have had a hard time menuvering to cath it.  I just hop  keep improving this much everyday.

Jones, my game still sucks, but I have fun.  you sound like you are progressing faster than I did.  Just don't overdo it.  A week or two more isn't going to hurt your game.  Good luck.

Good point. I, like most people on this site,  m eager to do things I didn't like to do b4.  I also don't want to miss the things I did already.  But, I would hate to regret something, so I will wait until my PS gives me  the okay.
