I'm wondering, I have insurance.  I've been looking through the board and have not found much info.  Whatever I may be looking at pricewise for surgery, can you pay in monthly payments?  Has anyone in the US been able to use insurance for surgery?  Does anyone know a good doctor in Denver, CO.  Please help.

Medical insurance coverage differs widely.

Some companies exclude it altogether.

Others will cover it only if it is causing severe emotional problems and would probably initially deny the coverage. You would need a really good letter from a Psychologist or Psychiatrist to get them to reconsider.

Some companies are somewhat more liberal in terms of coverage but only if you use their Doctors and facilities etc.

You have nothing to lose by asking.

Many surgeons offer payment plans for surgical procedures.  Call a surgeon you're interested in and ask about their financing options.
