emergency advice please.....

alright guys. im 23 pretty athletic and not in bad shape at all  blah blah. well ive noticed something weird with myself since i was like 12-13... and its only gotten worse. i always have, up until this year for some reason thought i had "man boobs"  however its not that at all its puffy nipples. they look stellar when i hop out of the shower or get done hooping but normally they look super duper puffy.  heres my problem.. im set to go to a surgeon on this thursday 3 DAYS AWAY hes going to check it out ..this place only does lipo i believe.. but im really not fat as far as i think.. its just the nipples!! so is lipo a good idea? or do i need to remove glands and i was told the lipo would cost me about 3500 to 4g's.  guys what the hell should i do?? need advice please i dont want to make a 4,000 mistake, get scarred, stay puffy, and use my vacation for a sugery thats a dud.

If it's just a consultation, then let the surgeon tell you what he/she thinks.  If it's lipo only, then you may want to get a second opinion from another surgeon before you jump into it.  My understanding is that excessive gland tissue can be a cause of what you have described.  You are in the drivers seat, here.  You don't have to jump into surgery with the first surgeon you see.  If you see a potential $4000.00 mistake, then follow your instincts.  That's my 2 cents, anyway.

I agree...shop around. You control your own fate. If you don't feel comfortable with what the doctor tells you and you think it should be gland removal and not lipo then go elsewhere for a second opinion. If you see 3-4 doctors and they all say the same thing then you know better that each one must have been telling you the correct thing. It's only a $4k mistake if you let it be.

Shop around... I got lipo 2 times and now i am waiting for a 3rd surgery to remove soft tissue under the nipple... waste of time.. should have removed tissue 1st time.. anyways, mine was just puffy nipples as well

thanks all you guys good call i guess i just needed to be told the obvious. i think thats what it is too is soft tissue because theres nothing hard about the nipple area at all. it feel soft.. now im assuming thats tissue from a gland under there? hmm but yeah thanks i appreaciate you guys taking the time out of your day to help someone else in need good stuff guys

 It seems like alot of the guys that have lipo only end up being dissapointed with their results.

I think that surgeons prefer to just do lipo because it is not as complicated and less demanding on their skills. The surgeon may have the skill to perform an excision but chooses to take the easy way at your expense  (can you hear a PS doing an Angioplasti  " you know i can get that cleaned out with lipo").

My original OP was excision and lipo with Areola reduction and the doc did a great job, but I still had to have revision to get it just right.

Your PS needs to be as dedicated to perfection as you are hoping for it.

Not very many guy's end up with 100%  satisfaction, to get to 90% in alot of cases requires a revision.

So in a minor case with only gland being the problem it sounds like you should have an excision done.

thanks alot man i will take in your words def. however i have to tell you that i called the place (which is a pretty damn nice place w a good rep) and i asked them about the only lipo thing and the lady told me pretty much that i was smoking crack and they will remove tiissue or glands if needed. i go tom to discuss this w the surgeon. my sis thinks i should see a fam doc first and have him do blood word to find out if my levels of estrogen and test are normal than decide what to do so tom after i talk to him ill post what he and i discussed and go from there. take care

Your sister may have a point with knowing where you stand with regards to estrogen levels, etc.  You should go to an endocrinologist for that, but at age 23 the chances are you won't get rid of gynecomastia with anything less than surgery.

I had only liposuction and it got rid of the puffy nipples and everything.

again thanks for the advice.  okay i just got back from the place.  basicly told me exactly what i thought he would. took off my shirt.. felt on my bossums ..haha. he asked some questions, he must have thought i havent been doing my gyne research or something. the overall cost is 4,550.00 that includes everything  the physician is patrick viscardi md .  he said hes seen alot worse. but at my age its not going to go away. theres some underlying issues. female breast tissue or some shit. anywho. he said a vest will be used, drains if needed. blah blah. theres a whole bunch of hot chicks that work in the office so i was happy about that. even though i have puffy nipples i can still lay my game down.  i just hope they dont have to look at my nipples because thats when my game falls flat.  and i hope my nipples do also. im going to sleep on my decision and let them know tom if im going to do it and if i go thru with it the tiddy flattenting celebration begins at 9am SEPT 11 the days the towers fell, the day the best rap album ever got realased and the day i can finally feel normal again.  ill keep you guys posted tom and let you know if im going thru with this or not. im like 85% sure i am at this point
