Computer Question

How can i make my computer quiter its driving me nuts- i have a pentiun 3 gigg 120 g hard drive 1024 ram if this helps. a desktop pc - cheers rob

What is making noise? Is it the fans? Hard drive?

one of the fans inside may be broken, if one or more of the wings fall off of a fan it will shake and make a strange loud noise. otherwise you need to be more specific with where the noise is coming from.

    I am having the same problem like mc-...., but everytime I tilt it to the side it gets really guit. When I stand it back up it gets noisey again. Is it the fan or what?

Could be that one of your Optical/Hard drives is setting up a vibration making the noise. One of my drives does that once in a while. Very annoying!  

Or... could be a bad bearing in one of your fans...

Can't think of much else that would cause excessive noise...

hope it's not the hard drive, but back up your critical stuff regularly in case.
