whats wrong with your chest for you to think it looks like shit?

standing sideways in the mirror - it looks like my chest indents (with fat ABOVE the nipple line) which looks like jowels for lack of better word.

standing 45 degrees to a mirror, those jowels form a protrusion that sits out of line with the natural shape of the chest.

theres no swelling behind the jowels, so its there to stay i think.

really not happy right now with it...

when i flex, those jowels go away, from all angles the chest looks good...i have no idea why it looks this way when relaxed and just standing there...but it really bugs me.

have you mentioned your concerns to the DR,Is your chest better than before and maybe you were expecting perfection and there is nothng wrong with high expectations but it is very dissappointing when reallity sinks in.my chest is far from perfect i'll be happy if both sides end up being the same size.don't get me rong my chest is much smaller than before but lets keep in mind we are still healing.then again we paid good money and expect great results not just ok results.

ya i havent seen lista since ive noticed the upper shxt, but i will for sure when i go see him in a few weeks.   it is flatter for sure, and the overal SHAPE of my chest is THERE, except for these jowels at the top.  if those werent there, and my swelling that i still have went away, i'd be very happy...

i did light chest workout today and felt fine.

still rubbing 3X daily and wearing this vest.  less than 2 weeks to go for that thing to go bye bye...

the money paid is one thing for sure...its thinking 'do i need a revision?' thats even more painful...to think to go thru all of this again (the consults, the driving, the MONEY, the NEW vest) and bla bla bla

i KNOW...its only been 4.5 weeks, but it gets depressing...

3 weeks post-op today, and I was really looking at my chest and i actually measured it today I also measured it the day of surgery and it is only 1.5 inches smaller whih is very discouraging.I still don't know if that is because of swallon or if it is still fat. ???I have 1 incision that seems to still have a stitch in it should i pull it out myself.I HAVE 1 breast larger than the other and don't expect the final result to be any different.not a happy camper right now...........I know i'm being to critical and i have alot more healing to do atleast that is what i keep on telling my self.I here you about the depressing issue .

Braveboy, I think you're being too hard on yourself. it's only been three weeks, you say? Give it some time. I'm a bit over four weeks and I can see improvement every single day. My chest is still sore, but I'm back at the gym full swing. When are you seeing the doc next? If you've got concerns, you have every right to make an appointment with him to discuss things.

hey guys, iknow i'm being hard on myself ,if i thought both breast will eventually even out to the same size i would be willing to wait to see the results. i think it is the uncertainty that has me all messed up. I keep telling myself that it i still early and that i have alot of healing to do. i see the dr in 1.5 weeks we will see what he says.At my 1 week post-op visit i mentioned it to him and he said that he took the same amount off  each side so maybe 1 side is alot more swallon than the other. but here hasn't been any change since then.

Lista told me I should be 90% happy with the surgery.  I think he is right is saying this - after the incision scars heal and blend in with my skin colour (hopefully by next summer) I wouldn't be self-concious to take shirt off at beach, public, etc. :-*

I still have a hard big lump under right nipple in lower breast, I'll make sure that this is normal and will break down when i see Lista in two weeks.  Other than that, I hardly feel much scarring in the other areas as I have massaged 15min a day.

I am only worried that as I get older and things get saggier that the breasts will catch gravity and look bad again. :-[  However, I keep telling myself that Lista took out an unbelievable 1L of crap out of my chest :o that would never have gone otherwise.  So, my chest still sticks out a bit but nothing like it did before.

hey marx, so after 6 weeks of wearing the vest, did you take it off, or have you worn it past that date?  I am 5 weeks now, and am still sore to touch, and after wearing my vest for about 6-8 hrs without massaging am very sore.  When I take the vest off, my chest is hard.  I have what I've been told is 'cording' both under my armpits, and below left nip over ribs and onto ab muscles on left side...f'ing hurts.

i plan on taking the vest off at exactly 6 weeks post op....

When I went for my 1 month visit, Lista said wear vest for 2 more weeks, then take it off, which is what I did.  At first, I found chest would slowly swell without vest, especially since I usually sleep on one side, so swelling would accumulate on that side.  It would also be sore, where the swelling was.  It was a much better feeling wiithout the swelling with the vest.

However, the key to the swelling/soreness I found was the hard massaging.  The soreness seems to go away after a hard massage.  I still have soreness and hardness if I don't massage for a while.  I also find after I massage hard that I give myself some light bruising where I rub hard, which is also becomes sore.

I am worried about a hard area in lower chest about one inch under nipple, which to me seems like scarring that hasn't broken down.  It just won't go away.  I'll ask Lista about it at my 2 month visit next week.

2nd last day wearing this vest....let the swelling begin.  still sore in spots (one ABOVE right nipple, large area of what feels like cords) and scar tissue along bottoms of both sides, but mostly left.  still have the 'jowel' effect on left side, so not happy there.  im noticing small improvements daily, but still not there yet.  i go to see lista in less than 2 weeks i think, so that will be my 2 month visit.  how many visits are there??? im not complaining i guess...i hope the swelling, soreness, and my unhappy results for the time being go down by then.

yep started light weights at about 4.5 weeks...walking 5 times per week.  just the last 4 days or so i've run 10 minutes the one day, 20 the next.  increasing weights now load wise, but nothing huge
