those gel bandages work great.  They can really help to flatten a scar.

I know that my ps advised me against it, because my chest was too hairy.

now wondering if I am missing out on achieving the best results I could have possibly achieved!

  • I love PuSSy!
I got some silicone sheeting.  They said to start using them a week after surgery, which is tommorrow.  So I'll let you know how they're working.  They're supposed to be the best thing you can use.
Right now its sunny and about 85 degrees.  You don't know how bad I want to go outside and take my shirt off, but if I want the scars to heal right I gotta do whats right.  Hopefully the silicone sheeting speeds up the healing so I don't have to wait the recommended full 6 months before I can expose it to the sun.  By that time it'll be fall.

There are a variety of scar care products on the market today.  Each has some potential advantages / disadvantages best explored with your surgeon.  I prefer to individualize the scar care for each of my patients.

Hope this helps,
