Just a little comic relief, dude.  Trying to diffuse some the negative vibes radiating from this thread.

Pig Latin is a little childhood game of putting the first letter of a word or phrase at the end, followed by "ay".  What I said was, "Can't we all get along?".

I mean really, we've all got a common bond here that's more important to me than a bunch of stupid international bickering.  Leave that to the world leaders.  We're real people who need each other to be supportive and respectful.  I'll bet I could find some stupid people where all of you live.  I've traveled quite a bit and have seen stupidity in equal doses just about everywhere.  Yes, including in the United States where I live.  So what.

Hey wolfman, why don't you attack a country more deserving of pot smoking critique such as amsterdam? I mean really. You come on here with the intent of offending americans just by saying I hope no one is offended. You were just trying to get a rise out of us. What is the point? Make an educated argument next time and bring facts and then maybe I won't be so offended. The plain truth is you have no evidence to support what you say. It was said out of spite. Maybe some american not a nice person offended you in the past or your country? Who knows. But when you state things like Americans in general I do take offense to what you say. It is unsupported slander in my opinion. And you are in title to yours.

"Can't we all get along?".

I agree!

There's enough BS going on in the world today, why do we have to have bickering and slander here?

As this thread well illustrates, We Americans are not the only people capable of being stupid.

Neither are we all drug users.

I think it is fair to say though that if you want to find a generality here; It would probably be that drug users tend to be in denial about their drug use causing a problem. This would probably be more or less universal rather based upon nationality.

I like the way 'Head held high' states that 'Asians study harder'!  Very American indeed:  Asia represents numerous countrys some of which have the poorest education system in the world - fact.  When i say very American its because i assume you are a true American, especialy with a name like 'Head held high' - are you any relation to 'Dances with wolves'!!!

it's not obvious if your post is agreeing or disagreeing.  i'm going to assume the second.

while asia is definitely diverse, i think most people agree the confucian work ethic is very strong by contrast, irrespective of what education is available, the most obvious examples being china and india and japan.  even in those places where school is poor, the motivation is more important.  as mark twain said, going to school should not be confused with getting an education.  drop by your average frat and see what i mean, it's still a fact our seniors can't hold a candle to most japanese.

it's possible to exaggerate a little, but while others in the world are studying and kicking their economies into gear, it is also true that many of us in the u.s. are just sitting around watching tv or nintendo or net porn.  or yes in some cases, burning a lot of life up in pot smoke without seeing what's going on around us.  if we are manufacturing fewer computers and delivering more pizzas and racking up huge individual and national debt instead, there might be a reason for it. which is why if somebody asks a question like the thread starter, they could in fact be doing us a favor if we're smart enough to think about it instead of getting all huffy and offended.

the hhh handle has nothing to do with pride or nationalism if that's what you mean, it just describes my reaction to learning what gyne is a few years ago, which involved reclaiming in my own small way the basic human dignity that gyne denies to men.

but dances with wolves was a cool movie  :)
