  I just wanted to wish everyone a happy, safe and blessed holiday weekend.  
Thanks to all that served.  It's that, that gave us the ability to live in a country that has given us the right to be...us.

Absolutely.  Thank you for your service.  I ended up in Germany.

My Dad passed away 15 years ago today.  He was in the Navy and his ship had 4 battle stars.  Purple heart in Okinawa.

Freedom isn't free.  It is built on the sacrifice of those who serve.

Remembering some old times, served in USN in the 60’s. Most in both sides of the family served as well. Some on my wife’s side. Something special about those in the class of’43. 
We patrolled the arctic for Russian boomers. I do remember the cold.

Just moved to a small college town in central Tennessee from the PNW.
Nashville was said to have the third best firework display in the country. 

This town was rated as the second best display in the state of Tennessee. I watched it & it was great. Went home & watched the DC show on a recording. It was great also. Got my fill of the shows, loved it. They were all comparable.

We were on vacation over the fourth in Michigan. It seemed in the areas we were in that they do Fourth of July on the 3rd which was weird so we missed it but got to see some great somewhat shows from locals nearby shooting some off
