Going braless is not an option for me.   If I do, the extra movement is very uncomfortable and can be painful.   Depending on the bra manufacturer , I usually wear a 44D, 42DD or 44C.

^^^ This.     A couple of days ago a late night dinner at a local casino (food not bad actually) I went braless.  So mine are not "pencil test approved" yet, (no fold over yet) but the bounce and lack of support got extremely painful. The other half looked at me and just rolled her eyes.   "Now you know." She said. 
I am still in a 44B, but I measured out at 51.5 this morning. And there is a gradual fold over starting now.   And quite sore.   So absolutely, the bra is a necessity for me at this point.

I agree, as a D cup  I don't quite pass the pencil test but the sheer volume of breast tissue I carry on my chest means that I definitely feel more comfortable wearing a bra. An underwire bra is best for me, my breasts feel stable and my posture is better.  I  used to think that I was delusional about my breast size but everytime I get fitted I always end up in a D or even DD cup so I now accept this as my reality.

Back from Alaska.  No problem there with even comport bras.  Three layers of thermal upper ware, can hide everything.  Caught some fish.  brought back some halibut and sockeye salmon.  It's harder back home to disguise. 3 miles left me drenched this morning.  If they don't see the front, they will see the back.  Need to get out at 6am.

After waking up and going into the bathroom to start my preparations for the day, I saw how prominent my nipples were.   I bit of a surprise.   Oh well, we make lemonade out of lemons😊
