Hello everyone, I'm looking for a bra for my gynecomastia.

My measurements are following :
snug UB : 110 cm
tght UB : 108 cm
loose UB : 114 cm
standing bust : 123 cm
leaning : 128 cm
lying : 122 cm

The ABTF calculator tells me UK 42DD (AMAB).

Here are some pictures of my gynecomastia.

Does this size seem correct to you (I live quite far from the first "real" lingerie shop, I have visited some shops but they don't sell bras for 38+ bands) ? Do you have any suggestions for me in terms of size or shape ? I'm interested for Ewa Michalak's bras, does anyone tried this brand ?

Best regards

I ran the calculator and came up with 44DD for you... but I find it to oversize (I have fairly broad shoulders and you look like you may too) and you want it start on the widest hooks, so 42DD is probably a fair starting point. It's trial and error at best IMHO in addition to what you find your fit preference (sung or loose), so if you buy something to try on at home, check out the return policy and process beforehand. I don't know that brand, but I go for features - sturdy underwire, wider from top to bottom (sometimes called smoothing), I like it where the straps can cross in the back, and minimizer design to reduce projection, so a 40DD works for me, but again it varies by design even in the same brand.  If you find a design you think you like, you might want to try it in a few sizes for example 42DD, 40DD, 42D and return as needed.

I think that's a Polish brand?  I belive that they tend to have quite narrow pointed cups so don't suit everyone.   Is there any particular reason for choosing that brand? Personally I  tend to wear bras from Panache, Fantasie and Curvy Kate and my size is 34DD. I am lucky to have a narrow chest so there are plenty of bras that fit me.

You'll find that if you went through normal puberty and breast came later in life that the standard measuring tool used by women will give you a cup size that is one to two cups too large.  This is because our rib cages are straighter than women's.  So my recommendation is match the band size according to the manufacture's calculation. Then go at least one cup size smaller to start with. And make sure they have a good return policy. ;)

Better yet, find a good store that will do a fitting for men with gynecomastia. It's a bit intimidating at first but the staff will quickly make you feel at ease and they do understand the concept of men with breasts.

That is the best advice. You are way too big to keep going about braless, both for comfort and appearance.  The minute you go in looking to buy a bra, the sales associates will immediately know the bra is for you, as they will readily see how full-busted you are.

Although it is scary, ask for a fitting and to try on.  It is the only way you will find a bra that works for you.  I generally try on 5-10 bras for every one I like.
