I don't generally follow conversations about medical conditions affecting breast development but I did a quick search on the subject of elevated prolactin and learned that it can be aggravated by certain high blood pressure medications.  I discovered that medication I was on for many years, verapamil is a serous culprit.  I haven't been on that drug for many years, so it is hard to know whether it affected development that happened later... in the last four or five years.  Clearly, our endocrine system is complicated but doubtless is at play with our breast development.  Hope your feeling better Bob.  It seems you've been greatly challenged on the health front.

Hi Ben,

Almost 40 years ago was the first time I had heard the word "idiopathic" it was how our family doctor described described my gynecomastia. I know the my estrogen production was similar to a girl of my age. There weren't many specialists back then in the rural area where I was raised. I was otherwise completely healthy. My mother, with the advice from our doctor decided to "wait and see" rather than do anything to alter my natural endocrine system or undergo surgery. 

I am so happy to hear that you are finding both acceptance and peace with your body and your breasts. We are all here for support, just like a good bra.

Challenge is the statement of the day,
I am coming out from under the throes of the chemotherapy for a Prolactinoma ( very reactive to the side effects ) Probably a few more in the future but I think that the 2 year history of my conditions that will  lead to osteoarthritis (and more breast ) will necessitate some HRT . Testosterone is not a good choice for that according to the Docs and the literature , for me . Not out of the woods yet.
That leaves low dos E 
We’ll need to go shopping for some new support with my wife. That support has been the best kind to have . 
Have to love the support and knowledge that comes from being in this group

Birdie, is this a kind of medical alert system between your breasts? At least there is a lot of space. Without breasts it would swing to and fro. Some women even put their mobiles between them. I wouldn't do this because of the radiation, but I don't see a problem with this thing.

It's a life alert device. I'm a fall risk so I'm required to wear it.
