Chest hair falling out after surgery?

Ok, I am 18 days post op and it seems that my chest hair is falling out. When I run my fingers through it and barely pull, I will have like 5 or 6 hairs come out. Pretty much every time I do it, something comes out. Could this just be temporary from wearing the tight compression vest 24/7 or something? Or maybe just the trauma to the area? Although, I will add that the area where the hair comes out is right on top of my sternum, so its not like I was operated on in that area.

I had surgery 12 days ago, and the exact same thing is happening to me.  Losing hair from right on top of the sternum
