Fluid Build up

Just curious as to how long it takes for fluid to go away after surgery? I know my PS mentioned the whole syringe deal and i will likely go in for that next week. However i have heard that it may go away on its own. Anyone know?

fluid for me was 2 weeks im guessing...it eventually was absorbed and i could no longer hear it 'squishing'....swelling on the other hand is still ongoing - 14 weeks later
