Hard areas.

I am 8 days post op and hand my bandages off today. there are quite a few areas that seem to have formed hard bands under the skin, bellow both pecs at the top of my stomach and above my right nipple right in the muscle belly. what could this be? Is it too early to be scar tissues? Could it just be swelling or is it a haemotoma? any idea guys? thanks.

It's scar tissue. Look it up here on the site...

Thanks for the reply mate. I had been told that scar tissue wouldnt form this early and it took at least a few weeks, is this simply not true?

Anytime man. Apparently these things vary a lot from one patient to another. Also, the surgeon's skills are a factor.

OK pal thanks, I will look into it. maybe start using some oils and creams and doing a bit of massage to break it up!

Yep. I did that too. Try Arnica Gel...
