How do you massage scar tissue?

I am unsure of what technique you use for massaging your breasts after surgery..do you just rub it in circles with 2 fingers?

Massaging too early in  the healing process can damage tissue and produce even more swelling. Best to check with your surgeon when to consider massage.

When I have my patients massage, they use a simple and inexpensive skin cream as a lubricant.  Using the soft pads of the three middle fingers, press in moderately and in a circular motion.  Do not cause pain -- that will not be helpful.
