Inflamed hair follicles - scar tissue

Hi, I am now 8 months post op and there's been some inflamed hair follicles in the incision wound.
I've removed the all the hair but this has left me with bad internal (and somewhat raised) scarring right under the excision and a bit down under to the center of the nipple.
Is anyone familiar with this or perhaps any treatment? I've heard about cortisone injections but dont know if it might help my problem.

This sucks so much. Any help would be appreciated!
