no compression vest

i was told to only wear the bandages 2 days after and nothign was ever said about a compression vest. is that right? do some ppl not use them?

My doctor told me to take it off a week after the operation. I already did but just in case, i am wearing UnderArmour and Rib Muscle T Shirts.
