I am now 5 weeks post op and i am happy the gland has completely been removed and i can at least wear a vest now. I wouldnt feel comfotable with my top off though as it is quite obvious I have had surgery. I was wondering if the thick wound lines will smooth out eventually, they seem pretty consistant the last few weeks? I have been using coco-butter with vitamin E twice a day to massage the area and there is still scar tissue underneath but i am more concerned with the look of the actual cut (looks worse in real life).

Any advice?

You gotta wait at least until the week 12 mark before you complain about your scars not subsiding (because they will)... the pictures already don't look bad and I'm pretty confident that everything will look great by the 4 month mark. Best of luck.

Thanks for the advice. Is it good to go quite aggressive with the massage over this area to smooth things out quicker? Or could it potentially make it worse (red scar etc)

Hugh?

You look fabulous for 5 weeks! Nonetheless, you are far from being completely healed. I'm still getting some subtle changes at 7 months!

Kick back, enjoy your results, and wait a couple of months.

People don't look at you that closely. Don't worry about it, at all. Even if there is no change, which many people have said there still will be.

If you can't take off your shirt comfortably with a scar you can't even see.....  I take my shirt off every day and my shit is noticeable - what you have is not. I'd trade scars in a heart beat. I was around 3 chicks with my shirt off and they didn't even notice. I asked one what she thought and she looked at me like I'm crazy and said you can't even tell. Your incision is 100x better if you don't take your shirt off the issues are in your head not the visibility of the incision.

Thanks for sharing. How long post op was this picture? I think its because i hid the gyno from everyone very well and dont ever want anyone knowing i ever had it either. Im starting to feel positive now, its just the matter of time i guess.

You asked how long until people couldn't tell I had surgery.

It is an interesting question. I thought for sure that people would at least ask if I'd lost weight or something. No one has ever asked or said a thing. I've never even noticed any one glancing at my chest. The only one who knows I went under the knife is my wife.

I started back at the gym after about 5 weeks.
