redness after surgery??

well, i just looked at my chest in the mirror. i had my operation on wednesday. for the most part my chest looks pretty good. looks like he got all the gyne, the symmetry looks good, etc and i don't see any bruising or leaking. BUT...right above my right nipple area, there is a rather large area that is VERY bright red.   is this normal. it's kind of worrying me because there's no other discoloration on my chest except for that area. could it be blood that needs to be drained? or could it be something else? i'm trying not to panic now because it's 5:30pm EST and i have an appointment with the PS at 8am.  But has anyone else experienced this?

also..if this is a hematoma, could it be dangerous??

well, i just got back from my doctor...he said it was nothing at all. no hematoma, no infection, nothing. he just said my skin was irritated and that it looks like i'm doing well. so i worried for nothing.
