First I would like to thank to everyone that is reading this post, any answers to the questions that I want to post here will be, for sure, a very big help.

Here’s the story, I had surgery a five weeks ago, it was liposuction and the gland was removed by liposuction, by destroying the gland and then removed… (According to the doctor has said to me). In the first days I felt the swelling, and my chest was almost like before surgery. After the first week I started to feel this hard mass underneath the nipple area, it’s twice bigger that the gland was (I guess), it’s like two golf balls under my nipples. The doctor said that it was normal, due to the impact / trauma that that area had suffer.

But is almost 40 days after surgery and this “golf ball” remains!

My questions are:

1)      As anyone felt the same?
2)      Is this the scar tissue?
3)      I much time to get “flat”
4)      Anyone had the gland removed by liposuction?
5)      Should I collide with a train?

Tell me something!

Thank You all!

  • Unsuccessful Lipo...Excision Revision..still Puffy
Heres the deal...if anyone knows about scar tissue around here its me.

I had mild gyne (puffy nipples caused by glandular tissue) and my first surgery was Lipo ONLY like yours. My doc assured me that his special lipo machine would break up the gland and suck it out.
3 months post op- my chest contour tightened from the sucked out fat, BUT I still had hard lumps. He told me it was scar tissue, but indeed it was GLAND.
A month later he awarded me a excision revision and this was more succesful but im still not perfectly flat. This time i have actual scar tissue still ( I know this bc i looked perfect immediatly after surgery for 5 days. When i had lipo only i looked puffy immediatly after surgery)

Hopefully u have better results from lipo only but it doesnt sound like you will, since u were not flat with no lumps at first, then puffy after surgery.
8 years of suffering Mild gyne...
2 surgeries & $6,000 later....
         STILL PUFFY   :/

Thank you

So how can I know if that “hard mass” is gland (and if that’s the case, the doctor  LIE  to me completely) or if really is Scar Tissue?

There’s no fat anymore, but it’s far from flat because of this supposed Scar tissue, how can I tell the difference between Scar Tissue and gland? If that is gland, the doctor lied to me and that’s something very serious, he said to me that he removed the gland, destroying it!

Is the doctor just inventing all this?? My God!! How much time should I wait before put tree bullets in the doctor’s head??

If this is really scar tissue, how much time takes to go away?

I spend all my money on this!!!

By the way, I from Portugal

Thank You All

Hey bud..your description of your experience is almost identical to mines..including the 6grand in the hole! i am now. Anyways just like u my surg "awarded" me an excision about 4 months ago after doing lypo only the first time around. For the first few days my chest looked great but then began to swell up and i developed hard lumps..I was not worried cause i figured this was just scar tissue developing I cant imagine that gland would grow that fast if at all. Well now its 4 months and i know the swollen tissue is not 100% gone because my nips still feel very sensitive...but i am beginning to feel discouraged because of how long it has taken...at this rate i am looking at least another 4-6 months for all the swollen tissue to go away...i would hate to wait that long and realize i still have gland left....I am gonna go see the surgeon again on monday well see what he says...

You cannot get rid of the gland by lipo only,  it just does not work that way.  It needs to be excised,  you probably had gland left over.  that is what happened to me

Thank you

I’m so ANGRY that I can promise that I’m about to shoot the doctor!   >:(

Is here anyone who knows if remove the gland by liposuction is possible??   ???(In theory is the kind of liposuction that destroy the gland and than removes the destroyed pieces).

The doctor told me that excision would not be necessary because this surgery technique should remove completely the gland, and hours after the surgery he gave me his word that he had destroyed all the glad, is he dishonest to me???

Two weeks after the surgery he told me that it was SCAR TISSUE and NOT GLAND! :'(

It’s almost 2 months and I see no changes in the “ Scar Tissue” !!! :-/

I will see the doctor next week, and probably shoot him! >:(  >:(

Once again, thank you so much!!!  :'(

  • Why Meeee!!
liposuction is only for fat removal,  it will not removed gland.   gland needs to be excised.
lipo can also cause the build up of scar tissue after, as it causes trauma to the area, and scar tissue forms as part of the bodys healing process.
July 04 - Gland removal + liposuction- Adriaan Grobbelaar. Results: Terrible
Feb 05 - Lipo Revision- Alex Karidis.
Nov 05 - Gland + Lipo- Alex Karidis.
Jun 06 - LHS gland + Lipo - Alex Karidis.

You probably had ultrasonic lipo, the sound waves are suposed to soften up the gland before it is sucked out so yes it is posible with lipo alone.

And another thing, since you didnt have the 2 golfballs in ur chest before and you have them now that must mean its scar tissue and not gland.
