It all depends on how bad your swelling and bruising are that determines how long the vest needs to be worn.  Oh and when you wake up from surgery you are already wearing the vest.  Actually before the operation the doctor goes to his local Wal-Mart and picks up the anethestics, tools, and your vest from the auto department.

I'm in week two of the vest... 3-4 was suggested. Actually, I was told 3, but he suggested 4 is better.
Surgery Date: April 9, 2008.
Surgeon: Dr. J C Fielding. (Toronto)
Result: Life is getting better with every day.

Mine suggested 3-4 weeks.  I'm 5 days now and it's surprising comfortable.  It feels good to have it on because without it (in the shower) the swelling makes me feel full and tender.  Glad it's not 90 degrees outside though.

How visible, if at all, is the vest under clothing?

I wear a tshirt and dress shirt every day for work.  Will the vest be visible at all under this type of clothing?

TIA

I tried on the underworks 990 vest that I bought and I can't even see it under a t-shirt.

Is this true for most all the vests?  Where does one see the 990 vest?

Thanks

It seems that the vests with the shoulder straps are more noticable than ones without.

I can wear my vest with over the shoulder velcro straps under a thick t-shirt without noticing.  A very thin one you can see a little.  A dress shirt- can't see.  The most visible part is a small lump in the top center from the zipper thing.
