I'm getting my surgery here in the next month and am trying to envision my life after gynecomastia.  The biggest concern I have is the questions I will get from friends and women when I have my shirt off and they see the scars.  I have no problem making up a little white lie as long as it doesn't mean having to tell them that I had boobs that needed removal.  What excuses/stories have you used in the past and how have they been received?

How hard can it be avoiding taking your shirt off a couple of months post op?

unless your surgeon does a bad job I wouldn't worry about scars at all.

I was actually thinking long term like next summer...Ihave very fair skin and very light pink nipples so I can't imagine the scars not showing some even if the surgery is done well

Scaring all depends on what the surgeon does and how your skin heals.

I really don't have any scar visible scars. You'd have to be inspecting me systematically to find them.

Unless you're having skin removal as part of your surgery, or nipple reduction, I don't think you have to worry long term.
