What is the Maximum time to Wear the Compression Vest....

With you all Experiences pls suggest how much max time should one wear the compression vest. 24*7 and if recommended after wards in Night only.

I was told to wear it for 4 weeks. You can wear it as long as you please but my guess is there are no more benefits after week 6 or so.

I think different surgeons can advise slightly differently on this.

I was told by my surgeon to wear the compression garment for 3 weeks 24/7

you could ease into not wearing the vest by wearing at night only for a week. or you could lightly massage your chest for 5 mins 2-3 times a day and that will help disperse any swelling if you get any without the vest on, although you have worn it so long now I think you will be fine.

For my average patient, usually four weeks of compression is sufficient.  If you wish to wear it longer (ie 6 weeks), it can only help-- it cannot hurt.

After six weeks, the benefits are negligible.

Yeah, my doctor says to wear it 24/7 for 4 weeks and then I can move on to something like Spanx or Under Armour.

hi do you feel any lump probably from swelling or scar tissue if you dont the vest for a day?
